I have the Colorado 400t, but want to be able to plan all of our trips on the computer. I found and older version of MapSource (V3.02) that included the TOPO Maps at Dicks Sporting Goods for only $50. I got it knowing that I could update the MapSource to the newest version and the maps would suffice until I start buying the 24k versions. My installation and update of MapSource went fine, but when I open it up all it shows is the roads (no matter what map I select). No topo information at all. I copied the East, West, Alaska and Hawaii maps to the Garmin Directory and modified the Registry to look there, but still nothing. Am I missing a simple step? Download MapSource - WorldMap for. Augment the detail already on your Garmin GPS basemap. All MapSource products include the trip and. MapSource - US Topo. All programs and maps on this site are free to download and use. Just download the DVD or simply plug a preprogrammed data card into your compatible. Did you install the maps from the CDs or did you just copy them onto your PC? There should be a proper map installation process from the CDs that makes sure the maps get put in the proper place and the registry gets updated correctly. If you just copied them from the CDs yourself, you risk missing entries in the registry.ken.The installation doesn't give me the option to do any additional installations. Here is the entire process: I'd already done this step in the past so I said no this time. If you have the map files all in the right place I can only assume it's the registry entries that are missing something. I am not familiar with the US Topo product so I have no idea how they should be installed in the Garmin folder or how they should appear in the Registry. I have Topo Canada v4 installed and here's the Registy entry for it The Topo Canada files are all in the C: GARMIN Topo Canada v4 folder. There is a massive number of 00000000.IMG files and way at the bottom are the four files referenced in the above registry entries. I hope this provides a clue that might help find the problem.ken.Everything looks right to me: I really appreciate the help.this is just getting annoying. We might be getting close. You say that all you see are roads but no topo stuff. I assume you mean you are only seeing major roads, like highways and interstates. Are you seeing any details, like the street grids in towns and cities, with the streets all named? How about hydrology (rivers, lakes, etc.)? If all you are seeing is main roads, highways and such, that means you are seeing the basemap (Bmap key) for each of the four sections. The mod will over-write the file ming_green0.bik file. Racer_s Files Added: d3d9.dll Resolution.ini Resolution readme.txt When first run this mod will create a DynamicResourceBin folder. Evil genius gog. If you use the ReleaseExe folder, Racer_s resolution fix will be added preset at 1080p. So at least that part is right. I assume the '6', '7', '8', '9' keys are for the East, West, Alaska and Hawaii sections (not in any particular order) and that the other three are the same as the '6' you showed, except with their specific files named in the subkeys. You didn't show a key with the IDX and MDR subkeys (see the first part of my example). Is that in the PRODUCTS key? If Mapsource can't find those files you won't see any of the details. Find the subkeys, find the actual files and make sure the actual file locations match the subkeys.ken.
